Voice, formerly known as the By Girl, For Girl Board of Directors, represents the fresh edgy voice of younger and older Girl Scouts of Central Florida.

Our Vision is to be the girls’ voice that helps Citrus Council deliver fun, exciting ways to accomplish the Girl Scout mission.  Our Mission is to promote what Girl Scouting really is, through education, our own experiences and offering relevant programs for girls.

2008-2009 Accomplishments
1. Increased Voice membership to 20 active members.
2. Created a Girl-Led video for the Annual Meeting.
3. Educated Community on what Girl Scouts is through publications, speech engagements and girl led marketing.
4. Published Chit-Chat a girl led piece in Citrus Council Chatter.
5. Developed application for Legislative Days.
6. Planned both Metamorphosis & Mean Chicks.
7. Created media buzz with our girl led PRO-test before leaving for Tallahassee to participate in the statewide girl program Legislative Days.
8. Planned and executed a girl party at Legislative Days.
9. Offered up our Voice in Citrus Council’s 5 Year Strategic Plan process.
10. Created a Girl-Led video for the Fall Product Training.

Voice gives girls ages 12-18 the opportunity to collaborate with Citrus Council staff at every level. We determine our meeting schedule and generally meet once or twice a month. So if you want to take your leadership to the next level and influence Girl Scouting in a brand new way, then VOICE is the place for you to be heard.
